"Americans do it better" in ROME :)

As I was reading the New York Times not long ago, I came across an article about the US president finding himself stalled and "vulnerable" amidst the streets of Rome, leaving the secret service to push the crowd back under the roar of helicopeters hovering as limos pull to the side of his broken car and others cover from the back.

At first, the crow began to laugh when trrr... trrr.. trrr.. the engine refused to budge!

Though, to my surprise, as soon as Bush steps out of the limo he receives a good reception, cheering, and clapping...

Hmmm, what about the massive protests? Once in front of a "celebrity" people become starstruck and ideals are out the window? Very funny and interesting video, like the New York Times article said "I assure you, this is the real thing" :)

Video is titled Americans do it better and happened in downtown Rome.

Ciao Violetta :)

Yup, the crowd WAS very kind to him! Maybe too kind considering all those massive protests I've been reading about, and even saw myself!

To be honest, the cheers, clapping, and "YEY! Bush!" left me scratching my head and wondering "huh???"

Ciao Preya! Read your blog again today, and it made me think...

You know, a friend of mine is going to Mussoorie where your family is from! I was supposed to go with her and stay in Landour, but there is a lot to do for my move to Rome...

Ciao! Is she going to study Hindi? My family owns a cute little guest-house where the language students stay. It's beautiful--hope you get to go at some point :)

The control officers seemed very decent and good at their jobs.
