One time I heard that no one is ever 100% sad or 100% happy. Like when you go the right corner of the room you only see the left side of the room, and when you go to the left corner you see the right. So even amidst tears there is hope, and amidst smiles somehow a little something manages to lurk around. Hmmm... today I enjoyed the peace of "vacation", and surprisingly found myself missing my work in medical interpretations!
Well, since I'm still quite new to the blogosphere, in my quiet moments alone I was also able to read the most fascinating blogs from expats in Italy and other passionate people. There is amazing people out there in the world, no doubt! :) I raise up a glass of wine to all those making their own paths and going for what they dream!!! :)
Ciao a tutti!

Congrats! i hope to find myself in your position in just 2 years from now ! :) buona fortuna
I had a strange calm come over me just before I was leaving too--I think it's the release of all the wondering "did I do this? is that taken care of?" blah blah blah.
Enjoy this time for what it is, as we all should do in every moment :)
Ciao... just wanted to say welcome to the Rome blogosphere (I'm amazed by how many bloggers have popped up in Rome in just the past 6 months or so... I'm starting to feel like a pioneer and I only just started a year ago!). I'm surprised we haven't crossed online paths yet. I found you through a comment you left over at Sara's. In bocca al lupo!
Hey! I'm glad you liked the songs!! I knew you'd like cambio direzione because they filmed the video in San Francisco! I have plenty more great songs so I'll have to update once a week or something
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog so I could follow the link back here. I raise my (figurative) glass of moscato to you and say cin cin! as you embark upon your new adventure! Auguri! Soak up the smiles and the quiet moments with your family now. You'll be happy you did when you have been here for a while and you begin to miss them.
Crepi!!! I'm really quite new to the Rome blogosphere Shelly, like a couple days really! :) Somehow I'm not too surprised in the expat increase, at least for several years now many murmur about their plans to live abroad! Ah, but some of us really pick up and do it, though :)
Sognatrice and Ambra, I will take your advice and enjoy this brief time here "dai miei", I feel as I did when I finally stood face to face with great masterpieces trying to really grasp what I was in front of! knowing it's a brief privilege... I prefer the calm than nostalgia, but when I look back the nostalgia creeps in... then look forward again and get excited :)
Grazie Italiana, I'll still be in Rome in two years when you move to Italy and I'll wait for you over there, how's that? hehe :)
